User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 If you receive a message with a blank subject from one person and leave it in your mailbox, and then receive another unrelated message from another person two weeks later which also has a blank subject, then the new message will become part of the thread of the first blank-subject message (assuming threading is turned on). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a message with a blank subject and send it to yourself. 2. Wait until you receive other messages, then create another message w/o subject. 3. Etc., or get a friend to do the same. Actual Results: All blank-subject messages become part of the same thread. Expected Results: IMHO, if a message has a blank subject, then it should NOT become part of a blank-subject thread UNLESS it is a response to a particular blank-subject message, in which case it should become part of the thread of the message to which it is a response, assuming that it is possible to create threads according to a criterion other than subject. If this is not possible, then blank-subject messages should not become part of any thread, and should appear at the bottom of the new message list (when sorted by date/time, that is). I save a lot of messages, and I have an old one with no subject. Once in awhile I get a new, unrelated message with a blank subject. Every time this happens I have to go back several months looking for the new message.
