While looking at bug 252478, I noticed that keyboard navigation of all chrome
dropdown menus ("option" type menus, not menu bar menus) is broken/backwards:
Open up Prefs > Privacy > Cookies, go to the Keep Cookies dropdown, and use the
up/down arrows to go through it. They go backwards. Also shows up in the "Open
with" dropdown. It does not happen with HTML form dropdown menus (i.e. the
bugzilla menus on this page), nor with the urlbar dropdown, nor with other
dropdown menus attached to buttons and the like.
(Not sure if this is really an Accessability bug, or if it should go to
Browser/XUL or what.)

another place to see this: Preferences (Options) > General > Languages. checkout
any of the menulists (comboboxes): if I hit the down arrow one, it moves focus
*upwards* by 2 items (not 1).
tested with 2004080308-0.9+ on linux fedora core 1.
Aaron, what could be causing this?
Summary: keyboard navigation of dropdown menus broken → keyboard navigation of dropdown menus (xul comboboxes) broken

oddly, Asa isn't seeing this on WinXP (20040803-0.9+). I removed XUL.mfasl and
localstore.rdf to see if it'd make a difference, but I still see this bad behavior.

Not seeing on WinXP either.
Sarah, is it when the dropdown is open or closed that this happens?

This is a dupe. bryner has the other one and it's got a patch.
