Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 When I have installed mozilla 1.7.2, I have a disk in my plextor cd rom burner (G:). I have installed mozilla from the internet and don't have used it for install. I have used the CD just to import my bookmark saved as html coming from IE 6.x (last version, with all the updates up to 2004/8/10.) I have installed the french language feature (from mozilla web site). And now each time I launch (this have appeared one time, I have installed mozilla yesterday) and I exit (have appeared 3 times from now and at each exit) mozilla, I get a window with in the top left "mozilla.exe" and in the middle : no disk in drive G:. If I insert a CD in G:, then I can click "continue" and it works. But if i don't put a CD, I can click everywhere (on the right hand cross, on the cancel button, on the retry one, or on the continue) , the browser don't wanna quit. I have tried to find a string inside all the mozilla files with G: as a parameter and don't have find it. I will try also the registry but I think it"s a bug. Please note that mozilla is resident and can be quickly launched from the trayicon. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.put a cd in your cd drive with a bookmark file 2. import it 3. exit mozilla 4. update mozilla to french 5. reboot the computer 6. launch it without the CD in drive -> the bug appears 7. exit mozilla -> the bug appears Actual Results: the window appears with "no disk in drive" message. Expected Results: nothing like this ! Just quit silently. Well mozilla seems to be a bit too big : IE takes 9600 KB of RAM whereas mozilla takes 26 MB which is too much from my point of view. It seems a bit slow on my computer making seconds to react : I have a P4 2,6 GHz with 1024 Mb (2*512 in dual channel) of DDR 400 MHz (PC 3200), an Asus P4C800 deluxe motherboard, a geforce 5200 with 128 Mo of DDR, a 37 Gb raptor HD, a 80 Gb Maxtor HD (both SATA 150) and IE is faster for me. It seems mozilla load too much things (perhaps it load everything : the news reader, the mail reader instead of loading only the relevent modules when only needed). It seems too big and big progs have difficulty to move (react) like big guys ! All this have appeared with a lots of processes in RAM (34) like Agnitum outpost 2.1, Grisoft AVG pro 7, NetTransport 2, Deliplayer playing mp3, Asusprobe, 3Com Nic doctor, Autodialog 2.3, my usb 2.0 key is also connected like my usb printer and network is connected to DSL. My screen resolution is 1280x1024x32.
Did you use import (Tools - Import ...) or open (File - Open Bookmarks File ...) to "import" your bookmarks? I guess you did open. Check it in Mozilla and look for browser.bookmarks.file in about:config (enter this in the URL bar). Do you have set this pref? What is the value? Please change the Product/Component to something useful like Browser/Browser-General.
