User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 If I close my laptop or stop using it for more than ?? minutes, windows puts the laptop into "suspend to ram" mode, and after some more time, in "swap ram to disk and sleep" mode. Micro$oft may use the terms "suspend mode" and "standby mode", I am not sure. When I open it (maybe several hours laters), my laptop go out of one of thoses sleep modes , the desktop is restored, but the mail doesn't check for new mail, neither immediately, nor every 10 mn, and I have to check manually for new email. After some hours (and severals manual "get new messages"), the mail starts to pool again my POP3 account for new messages every 10 mn. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. put the laptop into "suspend" or "standby" mode 2. send a new mail to your POP3 account with another machine 3. get the laptop out of "sleep" mode and into "back to life" mode Actual Results: no new mail fetched from the POP3 account, neither immediately, nor after more than 10 mn (or whatever is your POP3 pooling period) Expected Results: At least, resume the POP3 pooling for new mail, and if possible, "if sleep mode duration > POP3 pooling period", then "check immediately for new mail" this bug maybe somewhat related to bug 204702 (but is probably not a duplicate of this one) As far as I remember, older versions of Mozilla (1.5?) had the same problem with Windows NT on another laptop.
