User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040811 Firefox/0.9.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040811 Firefox/0.9.1+ The yellow software installation information bar that appears when clicking on an XPI link that's not in Firefox's software install whitelist disappears when switching back and forth to another tab. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In the Options dialog box (Tools | Options), choose Web Features and ensure that the "Allow web sites to install software" option is checked. 2. Open a new browser tab. 3. Go to a Web page with an XPI link. The Web site should not be listed in the Allowed Sites UI (accessible from the "Web Features" -> "Allow web sites to install software" option of the Options dialog box). 3. Click on the XPI link. The software installation info bar should appear above the browser content area. 4. Switch to the first browser tab, then switch back to the second. Actual Results: The software installation info bar disappeared. Expected Results: The software installation info bar should remain in place. This problem does not occur when switching between browser windows.
This problem also occurs with the popup blocker info bar. This was reported in bug 255162.
