Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

This is possible by editing source files (in chrome\en-US.jar\locale\en-US\browser\browser.dtd) but there is no UI for it. I don't think this has any chance of being implemented but I'll confirm the RFE as I can't find any dupes.

the keyconfig extension does the job.but not for mouse, just for keyboard.some other extensions perform the mouse part incompletely e.g. tab mix allows you to shift-click a tab to perform a specific action.should be left as extension,i think.

I work for a computer security and antivirus company on the east coast. I need to be able to customize my shortcuts uniformly across all programs (Kate, Kmail, KDE, etc) for efficiency but I can't configure your shortcut keys to match the others. I like FireFox better than Konquerer internet browser but this is a major drawback for me. Please bring your product in line with others. Thank you. Barbara Higgins Virus/Spam Analyst, Cybersoft

(In reply to comment #10) > dupe of bug 57805 (which is in Core now) ? No, front-end changes are not Core bugs. It may depend on that bug for the back end work, though.

Mark, is there anything here the "keyconfig" extension doesn't do? If not, let's close this as WONTFIX

There are many keys which I haven't found a way to customize through keyconfig extension. For example I would like to rebind "move focus to next link" from Tab to A (like in Opera), and "move focus to previos link" from Shift+Tab to Q.
