User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040830 Firefox/0.9.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040830 Firefox/0.9.1+ I am sorry to bother you guys with this, but recently I had my extension added to update.mozilla.org. The extension (3iempost: http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=233&vid=593) is one I wrote to allow visitors of a forum that I frequent, to post a webpage they are currently visiting to the forum. The reason I wanted to use update.mozilla.com was to a) have a trusted place to host the extension and b) have the ability to notify the users of my extension that there is a new version available. I just looked at some of the comments of the extension and a lot of people are claiming that the extension is spam (although the forum has absolutely no ads or trying to sell anything). I really had no clue that anyone would even want to try it unless they knew what the forum was or wanted to start using the forum. I guess my extension is a little to site specific to be hosted on update.mozilla.org so the extension can be removed and I will host it myself. The last thing I want to do is to make other users think update.mozilla.org is being used for spam.
