User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
Build Identifier: Firefox/0.9.3

consider the following page which appears correctly
page1 - ok
http://plasmanet.tv/bugzilla/test.html

there is text on a main page of text with 2 div iframes which have different z-order

page1 - ok
http://plasmanet.tv/bugzilla/test.html

page2 - partial display of div z-order2 but no sign of div z-order3
http://www.plasmanet.tv/bugzilla/testflash.html
the first div / iframe shows only partially
second div/iframe completely hidden
until you resize the window - as you drag the window size handle, the page
appears correctly

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. http://plasmanet.tv/bugzilla/test.html - observe a page of characters with 2
iframes
2. http://plasmanet.tv/bugzilla/testflash.html - observe a flash movie with half
an iframe only
3. note page source difference is only the body text or flash movie

Actual Results:
i saw as observed in steps to reproduce above

only half of one div/iframe was drawn on the page

Expected Results:
software should have displayed flash movie with
either
a. no divs / iframes
or
b. all divs/ iframes observed in their correct z-order

i see this as a major issue as macromedia flash is used by millions of people

i havent tested with other plug ins, but it could have an impact on plugins

this problem is also apparent on Mozilla 1.7.1

This problem also prevents us from releasing our software on linux and we have
some large interested customers in this respect.

I hope that my analysis of the problem will help you to resolve

many thanks

Bug 93959 comment 59:
flash movies without the wmode="transparent" will be above everything,
IE have the highest z-index.

I tried it, and indeed, adding this attribute to the embed tag makes it display
like IE. Don't ask me why, I just did a search.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

I can confirm this behavior. It is probably not used too frequently. I have just posted a poorly written comment for another bug [208386].

The bug is demonstrated here: http://posttool.com/firefox_bug/

Do you still see this problem using latest version of Firefox and Flash (10)?

If you do, please comment.
If you do not see the problem, please close the bug - don't use resolution=FIXED, change resolution to:
- INVALID if you believe the problem was flash player
- WORKSFORME if you believe the problem was in Firefox
- INCOMPLETE if it is impossible to test (url or testcase is gone)

Yes, this is still an issue. However, this is likely a duplicate.
