User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10
Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.8 (20040913)
When installing Thunderbird with a custom install, you can change the install
directory. In the folder picker, there is a button labeled 'New Folder'.
Pressing this button creates a new folder named 'New Folder'. However, the
folder isn't shown in the folder tree, so there is no indication it was created
and no way to rename it or select it.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select custom install.
2. Press 'Browse...' to select install folder
3. Press 'New Folder' to create a new folder
Actual Results:
A new folder named 'New Folder' is created, but it is not shown in the tree
view, so there is no indication it was created.
Expected Results:
If a name is specified in the text box next to the button, create a folder with
that name, and show and focus it in the folder tree. If no name is specified,
create a new folder named 'New Folder', show it in the tree view and focus it,
ready for renaming.

Actually, I have found that you CAN rename the folder, but the
cursor/highlight does not land on the new folder. Rather it lands on the
parent.
1. For instance, highlight "Programs" as the folder
2. Click "New Folder"
3. A folder called "New Folder" is created in the "Programs" folder, but the
highlight is still on "Programs" and the "Programs" folder is NOT expanded
which means you can't see the new folder.

On Windows NT, you don't even get the "New Folder" button, so you have to
manually make any new folder you might want

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Reporter, does the issue still occur with the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?
(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported Thunderbird version 2 is 2.0.0.16)
