Firefox needs the ability to search the history by URL, not just by title. This
is one of the most helpful features in Mozilla.
(And not quite as important, but I for one think that the separate history
window instead of a sidebar was way cool, and would like to see that as a
configurable option. But I'm sure that's complicated.)

This is, in my opinion, a bug and not an enhancement.
For example, if I visit a page with the title "Book About Butterflies" on the amazon.com domain, it is intuitive that searching history for "amazon" should find this page, even if the amazon.com webmaster chooses to not include the word Amazon in the title of that page.

I just want to stress how ridiculous this bug is with an example frustration. Three days ago, I visited a post on LiveJournal that I didn't bookmark. It was still in my history, but it took me FIVE MINUTES to find it because I couldn't just search for "livejournal", and I didn't remember the post's title.
If I could search by history URL, it would've taken me SECONDS to find, since I don't visit LiveJournal often.
How can a missing BASIC FEATURE that is present in every other browser I have tried (IE6, Opera9, NN4) be considered an ENHANCEMENT?!

This is still an issue with the History sidebar in Firefox 3.

Works for me with the history sidebar of both Firefox 3 and the latest trunk nightly:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009082707 Firefox/3.0.14
