Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.8 for Windows I have 2 accounts supported in Netscape Mail 7.1. I wanted to migrate to Thunderbird, but when imported the mail, the subfolders of the accouns looked the same. The new folder trees contained the folders and the messages from the two accouns. The indexes of all folders were scrambled and checking one message subject looks like it has a completely different content. After deleting the .msf files, the messages were partially fixed -- the subjects now corresponded to the content, but the attachments were corrupted and the messages were still having copies in both accounts. I had a mail with a zipped pictures from a friend, it got corrupted. Hpe this helps in reproducing the bug. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. Immediately after install have chosen to import mail from Netscape 6.x or 7.x 2. Deleted the msf files to try fixing the dissync of the e-mails 3. When tried second time to import, there is no option for Netscape 6.x or 7.x Actual Results: I could see both accouonts having one and the same tree structure. When I looked at the messages, there were copies of all the mail messages from one of the accounts to the other and vice versa Expected Results: Import the proper account trees and messages. Not corrupting the attachments of the messages. The application should take care on its own of the indexing and compacting the messages as well as the importing and the attachments. After importing of the accounts and stopping the application, the second attempt to run it popped a message, suggesting to delete INBOX.msf file.

I'm having a similar problem importing e-mail from Mozilla 1.7.1! I ran into this problem with Thunderbird 0.8, I tried again with Thunderbird 0.9 and the identical problem occured on importing. I have 5 accounts, let's call it A, B, C, D, and E. I'm finding that A&B are merged togther after importing, and are pointing to the same folder location (in the Thunderbird Application data folder). C is fine, but D&E are also pointing to the same folder as well. With Mozilla, I point my mail folder locations to another drive.

Platform: Windows 2000 SP4 Client: Thunderbird 0.9 Same problem: When launching Thunderbird for the 1st time, mails import from Mozilla 1.7.3 is not working properly. 4 accounts, folders from any accounts are now in unpredictable account :-( A nice mess :-) Hope this will be fixed in release 1.0 of Thunderbird. It's the only problem that makes me keep Mozilla ... I can test nightly builds if needed (As I am keeping my mails in Mozilla, and can test import on the fly) Cheers, Fred Fred

Problem on migration when multiple accounts on same mail server? If yes, this problem was fixed by Bug 268034 recently.
