This is my first bug, please forgive me if I do something wrong
When loading a page with an icon in a new tab or a new window, then interupting
the load by clicking an item on the Bookmarks Toolbar that has no icon, the icon
becomes associated with item in the Bookmarks and it retains the icon until the
cache is cleared, etc. (like a regular icon would be). It is not always
reproducable (maybe because it has to be timed after the icon loads but before
the page is finished loading?), but it is probably easier with a page that takes
longer to load. I have reproduced it with http://my.msn.com/, with the autologin
cookie enabled, onto several bookmarks, including http://www.mcafee.com/us/,
http://www.intel.com/, and http://www.cisco.com/
I know it sounds similar to Bug 174265, but from what I understand this is
different because the other bug 1) involves bookmarks WITHOUT icons getting
icons, not two bookmarks with icons getting switched around and 2) that bug
involved 2 bookmarks getting wrong icons while this occurs on a
bookmark-by-bookmark basis. For all I know, though, they could be caused by the
same thing
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a page to your Bookmarks Toolbar that is known to have no icon
2. Open a new tab or a new window and visit a page that is known to have an icon.
3. As the text appears in the titlebar, or as content first appears on the page,
click the bookmark on your toolbar
Actual Results:
The bookmark in the toolbar acquired the icon of the webpage that was interrupted
Expected Results:
The bookmark in the toolbar should have retained the default icon, since it had
none to begin with

I believe this is a dupe of bug 258461.
Although this bug may have a broader scope (bug 258461 is about cancelling page
load, while this bug is about interrupted loading that is not necessarily
user-initiated), I think this is due to the same issue i.e. the current
behaviour is that the favicon is set once upon first visit, and then never set
again.
This is probably why RFE's bug 257791 and bug 260550 werre filed.
