Can you clarify for me?
So what is the release that should be added to UMO?
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
(In reply to comment #4) > So what is the release that should be added to UMO? There is still the stupid bug with creating everytime a new directory while using Virtual Identity on Windows in v.0.2.2, future versions will hopefully fix this problem an might be released in the next weeks. So maybe you add a link to the latest available version (see below) or wait a while till this bug is fixed - thanks, rene. Latest Version: http://absorb.it/hacked/thunderbird/v_identity_latest.xpi
Did you get this fixed?
(In reply to comment #6) > Did you get this fixed? short: No. (but its windows-related, linux works fine) long: I didnt found any way to remove the folder on windows systems. Everytime you create a new account (and thats what virt.ident. does temporaryly) the account-folder is created. On linux (and therefore i hope on mac too) it could be and will be removed by the extension. On windows this folder contains a file junk.msf and the whiole folder is locked by thunderbird. It's not unlocked after removing the account, only if you restart thunderbird you can remove the folder (try to remove the folder with your explorer - same effect). And I didnt found a way to remove the (any) folder from within thunderbird after restarting - maybe thats a security thing. So the only way to limit the number of created folders (on windows) is to limit the number of temporary created virtual identity accounts - so I thought of reusing (and changing) the accounts and dont remove them after a single mail was send. But this means a completely new extension and at the moment I didnt had the time to do this - this might change in the next weeks. If somebody uses and likes this extension on windows or/and is able to solve the problem, please feel free to contact me for additional information. -- rene
