Clicking on home does present the correct page, however. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install firefox 2. Select both checkboxes on the final screen (reset hompage and launch) 3. Actual Results: Firefox opened with a blank screen Expected Results: Displayed the Firefox startup page.
This problem also exists with the official 10/24 nightly: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041024 Firefox/1.0
Confirming with branch build 20041024 on XP. This is broken functionality and can be confusing, requesting blocking-aviary1.0.

I should have mentioned that the clicking on the "Home" icon on the toolbar does go to the homepage. Although Tools-> Options -> General shows an empty string for homepage.
Oh, shit. I forgot to package the extra file from bug 265479.
