If page load fails due to timeout or some other reason, address bar remains blank. In this situation, user can not use refresh/reload button since there is no URL in address bar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open any URL in new window 2. 3. Expected Results: Address bar should have URL before loading instead of after loading the page.

Oops, so used to using them I forgot that isn't default. The situation for this bug is a bit muddier: with RC2, a failed URL opened in a new background tab retains the failed address, but opened in a new foreground tab or a new window it winds up blank. On the trunk, only a new window winds up blank. Several bugs reporting this same thing, including bug 246903 and bug 211879, were duped to bug 231393, despite it actually being about typed URLs, not failed links, so now it's a hopeless muddle of "works!" "doesn't!". Frankly, I don't have any idea what ought to happen with this report, now.

This bug still is here in 1.0 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0). On slow connection (ie. high load sites like mozilla.org after FF 1.0 :) ) it makes web browsing to suck. I open some tabs (ie. in bugzilla bug search results), they fail and I got lots of empty tabs/open windows and no clue what bugs I wanted to look in :( PS. Wasn't similar bug already fixed in Mozilla some time (year or more?) a go?
