whene i add new task or event in hebrew to the clander i see it in corect
hebrew. but whene i close sunbird and open it again i see only mark qusitions
(???) instead of hebrew.

How does the calendar file look like? Does it contain valid data?
Hoe does the pane with the event list look like? The screenshot looks pretty ok,
but maybe that's a special event.
Which version of sunbird are you using?
I can reproduce this using: 

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041106 Mozilla Sunbird/0.2b

For examnple, I type the Hebrew letter shin (U+05E9).  I see the letter
correctly in Sunbird.

I close Sunbird and look in the ICS file.  I see the correct UTF-8 (D7A9 --
looks like multiply and copyright signs).

I restart Sunbird.  Where the Hebrew letter shoud be, there is nothing.

The same happens with e-acute (U+00E9, UTF-8 C3A9 looks like A-tilde and
copyright).  When restarted, Sunbird displays a question mark where the e-acute
should be..
