How does the calendar file look like? Does it contain valid data? Hoe does the pane with the event list look like? The screenshot looks pretty ok, but maybe that's a special event. Which version of sunbird are you using?

I can reproduce this using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041106 Mozilla Sunbird/0.2b For examnple, I type the Hebrew letter shin (U+05E9). I see the letter correctly in Sunbird. I close Sunbird and look in the ICS file. I see the correct UTF-8 (D7A9 -- looks like multiply and copyright signs). I restart Sunbird. Where the Hebrew letter shoud be, there is nothing. The same happens with e-acute (U+00E9, UTF-8 C3A9 looks like A-tilde and copyright). When restarted, Sunbird displays a question mark where the e-acute should be..
