Thunderbird should have it too

why do you think we need this pref? What is broken because of it? I don't see any symptoms listed in this bug.

we need this so be consistent between firefox and thunderbird. firefox has the pref and I think thunderbird should have it too. it makes support much easier since you can always refers to one filename instead of "the filename that ends in .s"
