PNG's like GIF's can have transparent regions. Mozilla doesn't draw the transparent bits of a PNG correctly, instead of showing what is behind the graphic it shows white. See the "W3C HTML 4.0" graphic at the bottom of the URL mentioned above. The left hand edge should be the same colour as the background (beige), not white. It works properly under IE5.

Oh yeah I'm using Mozilla build ID: 2000012520 (M13) Win98se/IE5 etc

This is more likely a duplicate of bug 19283, not 3013. The image in question has only a single, fully transparent color (as in GIF), and that much has always worked in Mozilla. I'll leave it to someone else to reopen/reduplicate it if that's useful. Greg
