While Firefox pt-BR is not released, let's continually improving it. :-)
This patch set Auto-Detection=Universal in firefox-l10n.js.
It fixes a Firefox drawback given by a negative press review.

Auto-Detection=Universal fixes a lot of pages.
If pt-Br release was really aborted by bug 269734, this fix should be committed
before pt-BR release.
