Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Compose email
2. Type To, Subject, Attach a file
3. Press send button
4. Wait for "Status: delivering mail" with progress bar dialog 
5. Press "Cancel"
6. You will see "Sending of message failed" message box
7. Press "Ok" (don't delay!!)
8. Crash 

Actual Results:  
Crash 

Expected Results:  
I don't expect crash

FYI, this bug is also present in Mozilla 1.8a6.  See bug 275095, which includes

Same thing just happened to me: cancelled sending a message with a 2.7MB attachment and 
Thunderbird crashed. Using version 1.0.2 (20050317) on Mac OS X 10.3.9.
fixed by bug 238614 ?
