Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier:
When installing Thunderbird 1.0, the option of importing from Outlook didn't
include the user groups of contacts, just the whole bunch in one group.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Thunderbird Installer
2. When asked to import settings etc. from other programs, choose Outlook if you
have this program installed and configured properly.
Actual Results:
If you had created groups of contacts on your own, these wouldn't be included
and displayed in Thunderbird. You'll have to import addresses from Outlook with
Thunderbird afterwards to get these groups copied over.
Expected Results:
Included the groups in the import function of the installer.

I agree. This is a real big problem! I just imported a client's addressbook
(with 2000+ contacts) and all groups or mailing lists (or whatever you name
them) are empty. IMHO this is a critical bug and must be fixed ASAP. It is
through out the internet a problem in many forums, too.
See also bug #282007
Rename: Addressbook import does not include members of groups/lists
Should be marked as critical!
I use Thunderbird 1.0.2

fix will be in 1.1, and is also in current trunk builds.
