Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create search folder with a search patern that takes a bit to update; 2. Click on it repeatedly. Actual Results: Thunderbird crashed Expected Results: Every click should had stoped the previous update, cleaned it's task and start a new "update" task. Some sort of "waiting for updating" message would prevent the click happy crash. Also of benefice would be some sort of "cache" of the results (mayhappen when one opens the folder they appear in gray, because aren't "refreshed"). In the background, the search engine is "refreshing" the search and updating it's results.

This may be a duplicate of Bug Bug 273560 and Bug 290851, which have now been fixed, so this bug may have been fixed as well. I suggest you test the latest nightly trunk build.

I am unable to produce this problem with Thunderbird nightly trunk build 04-May-2005 1152.

I can confirm that with build version 1.0+ (20050504) the problem doesn't happen anymore. I've also checked the other bugs reported and in fact seamed like this is somewhat a duplicate of them (even if reported regarding another build, etc).
Should be fixed with TB 1.5 builds. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 273560 ***
