a search via the search bar cannot be reverted because the "Clear" button is
deactivated always.
(BTW: it does not search while typing but only after hitting enter.
I think this wasn't the case in the past)
I can Verifiy the CLEAR BUTTON problem in Build 2005010805 on Windows. Changing
OS to ALL, version to Trunk. This is a regression since build 20041204.
Workaround is to delete the contents of the search box and hit enter.
OS: Linux → All

This is a rather major regression and should be fixed before 1.8beta, imho.

Ere, I think you should have stuck to calling GetSearchInput() ;-)

I'm not seeing this symptom with 1.8b-0120, Win2K. Did something fix it, or was
that other patch rolled back?
