Reporter: Can you check if this is still a problem with a current build like
Mozilla 1.7.5?
Here are the issues with D-SPAM / Mail clients and S/MIME that I have been
able to identify so far. I have attached an inoquous message that was signed
below. The problem seems to be related to a format issue possible and the way
the clients handle a message that has been modified by D-SPAM in the body of the
message.

1) Digitally signed messages incorporate the sender's email address, the body
of the message and any attachments into the calculation for the message digest.
When an S/MIME capable client attempts to validate the message, it regenerates
a hash of the body, email address and attachments and compares them against an
encrypted message digest that was generated by the sender's mail client. If any
of these elements are modified in transit, the mail client should report that
the message has been modified in transit.

2) The mail clients from Mozilla - Mozilla 1.7.5 and Thunderbird seem to be
having some difficulty in determining that a digially signed message that has
been filtered through D-SPAM with the user preferences set to Training - When I
train DSPAM, I prefer: to forward my spam (signature appears in the message
body) should be an invalid message. In the above mentioned clients, the
message's body is not displayed and the ps7 signature can not be validated (the
message does not appear to be signed). The message source can be viewed, and it
would appear as if a valid ps7 signature is attached. It may be simply that the
DSPAM attachment needs to be before the signature and it is at the end.

The expected behavior should be that the client should compare the 2 hashes and
report that the message has been altered in transit
