User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 (ax) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 (ax) FAYT conflicts with webpage input fields when opening bookmark from Bookmarks Manager if accessibility.typeaheadfind is set to "true". Keyboard strokes are recorded in both the web pages input field and the FAYT search bar. Interestingly this bug consistenly appears if the bookmark is loaded with a double click (ie. into an existing tab) but much less so if page is loaded via a middle-click (ie. new tab). If the affected tab is open (even if it is *NOT* selected) FAYT will pop up on input fields from OTHER tabs. ==> This bug is NOT present if you open the bookmark via Bookmarks menu or Personal Toolbar folder. <== Even more strange is if you close the bookmarks manager things will go back to normal . All this leads me to believe it is a focus() issue. This bug may be related to bug 258285 and bug 264876 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Bookmarks Manager and locate url (eg. https://onlineid.bankofamerica.com/cgi-bin/sso.login.controller?state=NY) 2. doubleclick to go to the site. 3. Attempt to enter your UserID Actual Results: keystrokes recorded in both FAYT search bar and webpage USERID input field. Password only accepts 1 character at a time Input fielda of other tabs also invoked FAYT Expected Results: allow normal keystroke entry without invoking FAYT
