If I use the bookmark menu and tell mozilla to go to my home page 5 times then I end up with 5 entries under the go menu. This is new behavior. Mozilla used not to put consecutive duplicates under the go menu, and 4.X does not do it either.
Reproduced with 2000-02-21-08-M14 and both the M13 and M12 releases on WinNT. This has been around for a while, at least. Simplest ways to reproduce: A. Click on the "Mozilla.org" button on the Personal Taskbar a few times, waiting for the page to load each time, then observe the Go menu. B. Load any page, then click in the URLbar again, press the [ENTER] key, repeat, then observe the Go menu. Pressing the Reload button does not have this effect. This is quite possibly the same issue as seen in bug 21611, "Meta-refreshed page becomes added again to Go menu upon each refresh", M15 It probably makes sense to take a look at bug 27829, "history "go" is funky when the url's are the same" at the same time that this problem is fixed.
