Details
On mac, some of the iWork software makes it so that every document is really a package, or a directory. like foo.key and foo.pages (like Thunderbird.app is a package / directory_ here's the tbird issue, try to send someone a document and we will fail (silently, I think). Apple Mail handles these files by silently zipping them before sending. perhaps tbird could do the same? the flip side, david warns me, of auto unzipping a .zip could be a potential security hole. but maybe we could unzip when the user attempts to save or detach the .zip? something to keep in mind, since it is related.
