When minimizing a session of Deer Park, it sometimes occurs that the panel for
said application does not show. Deer Park minimizes, and Alt-Tab restores the
program. Minor Issue. Does not occur if multiple sessions of Deer Park open.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up a single session of Deer Park
2.Minimise the session
3.Revert to Windows Security window by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del in WinXP
4.Cancel the Security Window and you return to the desktop - Deer Park taskbar
panel not present

Actual Results:  
Deer Park taskbar panel disappeared

Expected Results:  
Should have shown the Deer Park panel in the taskbar

WFM - the taskbar doesnt disappear. 

I have seen this happen on ocassion for other applications though so I suspect
this might be a win xp bug.

Do previous versions of Firefox reliably show the same behaviour or not?

No, not reliably, but the previous Firefox versions have pretty much always had
a problem with intermittently disappearing from the taskbar.
