Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 TB usually adds the "--\n" seperator before a signature be default. This seperator is NOT inserted, when the option 'place me signature: "below my reply (above the quote)" is set in the account settings. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. in "Account Setting -> Composition & Adressing" uncheck "Compose messages in HTML" 2. check "Automatically quote...", select "start my replay above the quote" and "below my reply (above the quote)" 3. return to inbox, select a message and hit "reply" or "reply all" Actual Results: Signature from text file is inserted, however without "--\n" seperator. The cursor starts right above the signature. Expected Results: Signature from text file is inserted, with "--\n" seperator. -- signature signature signature
I forgot to mention: TB version 1.0.2 (20050317) for Windows, English on Windows XP Prof. SP2
This is as designed. Including the "-- " when top-replying would make everything under it part of the sig. For more info, read the *lengthy* discussion about this in bug 62429.
Sorry, I just searched open bugs. Please cancel this request, my fault... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 62429 ***
