The area that displays the email Subject, From and Date headers often has the
From field blank. If another window overlays this area there seems to be some
"bleed-through" from the pane above it. Sometimes the from-link text overlays
the From: text.
Clicking the minimize arrow for this pane clears up the problem.
The To: pane when it first expands is too deep. Clicking on another mail message
causes it to resize properly.
I'm wondering if this is just:

We also have another bug reported on the overlap with the splitter bar area.
What build are you using? Pls note that in your bugs.

Yes, I was seeing the bug illustrated in your screen shot for a while, but am
not seeing it now. cforde, need to know which build you're using.
I'm using build Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; N; NT4.0; en-US) Mozilla/m13

Oh, that's ancient in the timeline of mozilla builds :-) Marking a dup. You
might want to try a nightly build to verify that this doesn't happen anymore.

I didn't think it was ancient as I downloaded it on Wednesday. It says M14 in
the about:, but the build ID is 2000022820. I've downloaded 2000030308 and the
problem does not occur. /me chastened.

Hmm. I thought you were really using an M13 build, which is ancient. 2/28 would
have been M14, though. Maybe the user-agent was messed up. Anyway, glad it works
now. No need to be chastened. Thanks for the bug report.
