Details

Importing large files takes substantial amount of time that the program can appear to have hung during. A progress dialog would help substantially. Try importing the calendar attached to bug 284095 to test.

Still an issue with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13pre) Gecko/20080221 Calendar/0.8pre Example large .ics file, 364KB http://ical.mac.com/ical/DVDs.ics Sunbird takes 55s to load the .ics file, during which I'd agree the program had seemingly hung, with the spinning circle in 10.5. It'll be nice to have a progress dialog.
