Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6

When I write an email from my webmail (caramail.com), each time I use the key
" ' " (which is very frequent in French) or "/" (maybe more key), it launches
the search tool (as "CTRL + F" does).

Otherwise, on the same website, still writing an email, when I use "CTRL + Left
arrow" to browse through my last words written, it launches Winamp (with Win 2K,
not tested with Win XP). It is very disturbing because it takes some time to
launch Winamp and it bugs Firefox (memory problem).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create an email account on caramail.com (sorry it's in French)
2.Try to write an email using the " ' " and " / " key, and "CTRL + Left arrow"
(when Winamp Installed)
3.

Actual Results:
With the " ' " key, the search toolbar is launched and it writes what you want
to write on it and on the email writing area too. But it displays the spaces
(space key) only on the toolbar. Here is an example of what is diplayed on the
email writing area: "I'mverygladtoseeyou"

With "CTRL + Left Arrow", it launches Winamp.

Expected Results:
The shortcut CTRL+F is already working.
So the " ' " and "/" shouldn't launch the search toolbar.

The "CTRL + left arrow" shouldn't launch Winamp because it is usually used to
browse the cursor through the last words written. Maybe you could use another
shortcut to launch Winamp.

It is truen, I only saw this problem on this site, but as I use it every day, it
is very annoying.
Try Firefox 1.5 Beta 1, this should be fixed (see bug 258285 and bug 308229).

But I am already using Firefox 1.6: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1;
fr-FR; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050717 Firefox/1.0.6".

Firefox 1.5 beta 1 is this:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050906 Firefox/1.4
You're using Firefox 1.0.6, not Firefox 1.6.0.
