Currently, the first time you try to connect to a new mail server, Tbird will 
ask for the password and then offer to save it. 

That is very awkward. I think that there should be a password entry field on 
the same screen where you fill in your login ID. Login ID and password go 
together and they should be entered together. 

NVU's Site Manager is a good example of how it should be done.
