Spell as you check sometimes "cuts" words short at beginning of line short

Fairly frequently, it will identify a "misspelled" word at the beginning
of a line by underlining only the first part of a word. Seems to happen
with text that is pasted into a mail message.

Reproducible: Didn't try
I'm using Thunderbird 1.5b1
Version: unspecified → 1.5

Just repeated this twice in the same sitting on 1.5rc1. Both times it happened when text was pasted into a mail message.
I have seen this as well since I installed 1.5rc1 (from 1.0.7)
Bug 336719 is for fixing paste and drag-and-drop for spellchecking.
