When sending mail through my SMTP server, thunderbird goes to 100% cpu useage
after the message is sent.
-> The message does send successfully.
In my case I noticed this behavior starting when trying to get CRAM-MD5 to work.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. send mail
2. thunderbird spikes

this is shell output from a --enable-debug version of thunderbird.
closing thunderbird once it gets into the cpu eating state closes the visible
gui, but it does not end the application. I need to -9 or cntrl-c it.
