User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051005 Firefox/1.6a1 Build Identifier: thunderbird 1.6a1 (20051007) When sending mail through my SMTP server, thunderbird goes to 100% cpu useage after the message is sent. -> The message does send successfully. In my case I noticed this behavior starting when trying to get CRAM-MD5 to work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. send mail 2. thunderbird spikes 3.
Attached file NSPR smtp log
this is shell output from a --enable-debug version of thunderbird. closing thunderbird once it gets into the cpu eating state closes the visible gui, but it does not end the application. I need to -9 or cntrl-c it.
