if the preference option "Load images" is disabled, gre will display the alt
attribute instead as expected. If an images comes from another host and option,
"load images for the originating website only" is activated the alt text of the
remote image is not displayed.

This might be on purpose, however i think that this is sub-optimal in the case
that the images are used for navigation or submitting forms.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enable "load images for the originating website only" in FF
2. visit the mentioned example page
Actual Results:
no alt attrs displayed (just plain nothing about the blocked image)

Expected Results:
display the alt attribute instead of the image

Altough this is not nessecarely an accessibility problem (in terms of W3C specs)
this might be such in general.
Adding the example as attachment in case it disapears somewhen on our
customer's server.

I am not sure if this is a dup of bug 41924. The problem i am reporting is not
basicly the behavour of the display of broken images (this seems to work fairly
well if all images are blocked). This bug only focuses on the display of images
which are blocked because they come from a different server.
I believe that Bug 41924 is there to cover all situations where an image has
been blocked. See also bug 169161 which covers your exact situation and has been
duped the same.
