There is a blank space where needs to be text when you over buttons.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to www.adobe.com
2.Hover with your mouse over a button (support)
3.
Actual Results:
Some tekst dissapears
Confirmed. This is not the recursive widget bug. It's another plugin drawing
issue that, I think, was fixed between 0.8.4 and nnn and then regressed
partially "recently"--at least by 1.0a1. You can see the same behavior in a
10-21 branch nightly. We've seen one or two mentions of this in the forums but
no bug-filings ever came of them.
STR:
1. Hover over JS menu title (Products) at http://www.adobe.com
2. Observe a white space the size of the plugin white-out text and graphics
further down on the page (part of the purple swirl, the Get Elements 4.0, etc.)
In 0.8.4, that white area was a second copy of the plugin.
I'll see if I can't track down the mentions of this in the forum and get a
regression window, if this was indeed fixed at some point between 0.8.4 and 1.0a1.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: Page Layout → Plug-ins
Ever confirmed: true
Summary: A part of homepage Adobe is blank when you go over the buttons (like: support) → "Blank" copy of plugin content whites-out page content (vertically offset)
Oh, Chris mentioned the other case I remembered in bug 295373 comment 9. It's
different because the offset is above rather than below and the plugin drew over
the chrome, too, not just the page:

Hmm.
Works: Cm 2005-08-27-04 (1.8 branch)
Fails: Cm 2005-08-28-04 (1.8 branch)
Regression window: http://tinyurl.com/7jz3z
Nothing looks remotely interesting at all in that range, at least not to me. :-(

This happened because the patch from bug 312563 didn't actually make it onto the
branch. I just checked it in there, and it fixes this bug.
We have other bugs about plugins drawing over the chrome; I see it faily often
with Flash too.
