Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1
Favicons on the toolbar don't display as the do in PC versions. I've done most of the troubleshooting re about:config settings, tried clean installs etc. The RSS icon is showing to the right though.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. clean install firefox
2. drag url (one that has a favicon) to toolbar
3. no favicon appears
Expected Results:
favicon should show on toolbar, so that text of link can be removed and icon remains.

Related but different AFAIKT. 219846 is referring to the menu dropdown, this refers to the toolbar. So its basically the same problem but occuring in two different places. I had not seen specific reference to the problem wrt the toolbar, just menu/sidebar, thus this report. I don't know the code at all- it might all be linked and just a single problem.
Icons as links in the toolbar is a great feature (as they work on PCs, one of the most useful wrt recent improvements. They save huge amounts of space- would be very nice to have in OS X.
