Build Identifier: version 1.0.7 (20050923)

The triangle with the large part at the top means Descending and down means ascening you have it backwards on all sorts for mail. The sort is fine it is just displayed backward on with the little triangle deal.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Sort inbox by date sent & see that the triangle doesn't corespond to the sort order.
2.sort by Sender and the same thing will happen.
3.

Actual Results:
The sort order display icon (triangle) is backwards.

Expected Results:
It should be pointing down for descending and up for ascending. (the other way around).
We do seem to be backward compared to other windows apps (e.g. task manager, which everyone has). I guess other apps are pointing to the beginning of the list (or think of it as a cone?); we're pointing in the direction of the sort (that is, from here go "that way" to find the end) which frankly I think makes more sense. Our way also matches the triangle twisties, which point sideways when a section is closed, and point down when the list is to be read.

Summary: Ascending/Descending Icon is Backwards. → Ascending/Descending Icon is reversed from other windows apps
Sorry, not task manager, window explorer.
bug 93772 and bug 301792. fwiw, the sort indicators in nautilus and konqueror agree with tb on pointing forward along the sort axis.
