User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1
If I clear the addressbar, then start typing a URL, and click a autocomplete URL, on the first try (and every time I have done it on the first try....many times) Firefox just puts in the words I was typing and attemps to go to that URL...not the autocomplete one that I clicked on.
I'm not entirely sure if this happens on purpose, but if not it's VERY annoying. Thanks.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start typing "my" for myspace.com in the addressbar.
2. See "myspace.com" autocomplete appear, click it.
3. Firefox will take you to "my" instead of "myspace.com" like u cliked on.
*** NOTE: It will only happen the first time you do it...if you try it a second time (not opening a new browser) it will work.
Actual Results:
Firefox takes you to the URL "my"
Expected Results:
Firefox supposed to take me to "Myspace.com"...the autocomplete I clicked on.

Works for me.
Maybe an extension is causing this. You can find that out by running Firefox in the safe mode: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox)
Or else a new profile: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder
