The find toolbar phrase not found beep can not be disabled or changed in any way.  The sound does not appear to be tied to any windows sound schemes, my current setting is "no sounds," which fails to silence firefox.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.ctrl-f
2.type in some text that is not found on the page
3.plug your ears.

Actual Results:  
The beep is very loud and can not be disabled. Windows no sound scheme does not disable the sound.

Expected Results:  
The software should be tied into the windows audio schemes, calling a system controlled event instead of playing a sound that can not be controlled even from within Firefox.

Windows XP SP2, all security updates. Control Panel--Sounds and Audio--Sounds--"No Sounds" scheme is enabled.

The sound can be disabled by setting the accessibility.typeaheadfind.enablesound pref to false, using about:config.

Thanks for the clarification, I overlooked that.  However, it still leaves that it is not linked to the OS sound schemes.

Why did you mark this a duplicate of that bug? That bug is about having a better default sound, this bug, from what I understood, was about the ability to control the sound based on the Windows audio scheme.
