Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051108 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051108 Firefox/1.5

If you type text into the findbar and click on highlight all, then switch tabs and return to the original tab, you cannot remove the highlighting on the page.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type something in like "out" and press the highlight all button.
2. Open a new tab.
3. Go back to the tab with the word highlighted and use FAYT again.
Actual Results:
The highlight all button is not pressed in and you cannot remove highlighting from the word, even if you press highlight all again and unselect it.

Expected Results:
Highlight all should have been pressed in, allowing you to unpress it and remove highlighting.

I don't think so. #256801 deals with text selection colour, this bug is about not being able to revmove the highlight at all.

Agreed. Not a duplicate of bug 256801, but it is a duplicate of bug 279022. Cannot change it, alas.

Sorry about that, I normally CC myself when making changes but forgot to do so this time. In the future, feel free to email the person that made the change to let them know they made a mistake.
