Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Poked around and could not find this reported yet, but it seems quite basic so forgive me if i've missed it: Within the MacOS, it seems impossible to drag and drop normally browser-friendly graphic files onto the Firefox icon in the dock. JPEGs, for example. I can drop any JPEG or GIF onto Safari and it will promptly open a new window with the JPEG or GIF in it. While you CAN open any of these files through the traditional method inside Firefox (File-->Open File...) or using a control-click menu from the Finder, drag and drop to the OS dock is not enabled in the current build (or any build I've seen). This seems to be true no matter the app that created the JPEG (photoshop, etc.)... all JPEGs or GIFs are no-go. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Place a JPEG on your desktop. 2. Drag and drop that icon onto the Firefox icon in the Dock... You can't. But try to do the same thing onto a SAFARI or IE icon in the dock. Joy. Actual Results: Nothing. Expected Results: Opened and displayed the JPEG or GIF file.
