Sometimes it's impossible to slide the grippy between the calendar pane and the thunderbird folder pane past a certain point, leaving most folders obscured.
Is this talking about the vertical grippy between the sidebar and the calendar-views panel? If so, it's probably a duplicate of bug 299325. If it's talking about the horizontal grippy between the folders and the minimonth, I've never seen it. Could it perhaps be related to the number of items in one of the list/tree views in the tabbox below the minimonth?
This is the horizontal grippy. However, I haven't actually seen this for a while, maybe it got fixed as a side effect of an earlier patch. Jst, any chance you can try out a nightly and see if this is still a problem for you?
Probably a duplicate of bug 309039, then, which is fixed.
