318629 - Download tooltips are unreliable

Tooltips in the Download Manager normally show the URL of the downloaded file, both during and after the download completes. However, you can make them go funky by following this procedure:

1) Download three files. Let's call them A.dmg, B.zip, and C.jpg.
2) Delete the second file you downloaded (B.zip).
3) Download a fourth file. Let's call it D.sit.
4) While downloading D.sit, mouse over it and notice the tooltip gives the URL for C.jpg. (Mousing over the C.jpg download will give the proper URL for C.jpg.)
5) Quit Camino.
6) Open Camino and open the Download Manager.
7) No tooltips, period.

Tooltips should not "migrate" from one download to another, and they should be retained across restarts.

This problem appears to be independent of file type and originating server.

I'm having trouble reproducing. This screenshot shows the original problem.

Note, the screenshots are minus mouse cursor, thanks os x. All the tooltips shown appear in the standard position, below and to the right of the cursor.

FYI, if you use Grab.app to do the screenshots instead of the system keyboard shortcuts, you can tell it to leave the cursor in (in the prefs, select the arrow cursor rather than the empty box).

It looks like (from what I'm experiencing right now) that tool tips are not attributed properly when several files are downloaded at once. When downloading three files, the first file's tooltip is correct, but the second file has the URL of the second to last downloaded file and the third file has the URL of the last downloaded file.

Filed as bug 343353 so this one can focus on the tooltip tracking rect issue.
