Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/releases/1.5.html As summary says. Thunderbird is open most of the time, and I regulary close shut my laptop down in hibernate mode. However after returning from hibernate Thunderbird won't download RSS feeds anymore (restarting thunderbird is the only solution I could find), while it still does fetch new e-mails. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open thunderbird 2. Download RSS messages 3. Shut down windows in hibernate mode (keep thunderbird open all the time, hibernate enables you to continue where you left, and that's how it should work for all software) 4. Make sure RSS feeds are available 5. Check RSS feeds (steps 4 and 5 can be repeated) 6. Watch the result (or the lack of it) Actual Results: After having been in hibernate mode, retrieving e-mail does work, but retrieving new RSS items doesn't. Also manually pressing get messages for the RSS acount doesn't work. Expected Results: RSS should download as before going into hibernate. I'm using the Winstripe 1.5 theme. I will check the default theme directly. Laptop I experienced it on is a IBM T42 model using WinXP.

My apologies, this bug may be closed. It's probably related to the WinStripe theme. I forgot to check (very well this improvement to the bugzilla! (I don't use it very often, but the new bugreport makes reporting much more thorough)). It works now.

I will second this bug report, and vote to reopen the bug. I have been dealing this problem just as you described for much of the betas and RCs. I am using a normal WinXP SP2 install. The problem disappears after restarting Thunderbird. Hope this helps. You guys are doing great work.
