found while using opt mozilla bits (beta branch) on linux [2000.03.15.06-nb1b] and mac [2000.03.15.05-nb1b]. not a problem on winNT (comparitively speaking --was using opt commercial beta branch bits 2000.03.15.06-nb1b). this is a regression. to repro: 1. open up Prefs. 2. select Appearance. result: on winNT it doesn't highlight, but linux it does... 3. select another category. result: on winNT the category name is blanked out in grey; on linux it's simply not selected. note that the righthand pane does update.

bit of info re: linux: i go to another virtual desktop, then return to the one with the Prefs dialog, the category is then correctly highlighted. interesting. (btw, using AfterStep as my wm.)

info on winNT: scrolling up/down the category tree (i used the grippy) properly repaints the selected item.
Putting on PDT- radar for beta1. Will relnote.
