Sometimes there is trouble getting Firefox to shut down. When I shut down my computer, the applications generally shut down with it. However, sometimes logout times out because Firefox won't quit, and the machine itself doesn't shut down. At times like that, Firefox generally (but not always) won't even respond to the Quit command, and I have to force quit it. I had this problem with Netscape 7.1 on a Mac G4 running system 10.2, and now it's back in Firefox 1.5 on a new G5 running system 10.4.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just use the browser, and eventually it happens. Seems to be no pattern.
2.
3.

Seems a bit like bug 309150 and bug 239223. Might be caused by Java. This is usually reported by Windows users though.
