Click the menu View->Theme->Get more themes to load the URL <http://www.mozilla.org/themes/download/>. 1. The page does not include <https://addons.mozilla.org/themes/?application=mozilla>. 2. Copyright says 1998-2004.
Perhaps it should go directly to addons.mozilla.org, with bug 330242 as a dependency. Looking at the current content: * Mozilla Add-Ons A list of themes for Mozilla Suite 1.7.x (or Firefox!) - not useful. * themes.mozdev.org/ Used to be the best place to find themes, but doesn't look like it is maintained any longer. 1.8a is listed as the trunk, no themes are listed as compatible with Seamonkey 1.1 (or 1.0?). * themes.freshmeat.net A very small list of themes, most of which are ancient and obsolete. * Open Directory The page you attempted to access does not exist on this site. ---- Other suggestions from the newsgroup: Seems pretty extensive: http://users.skynet.be/fa258499/themes.html A small subset: http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showforum=44
(In reply to comment #1) > Perhaps it should go directly to addons.mozilla.org, Which would be bug 287128.
Whatever we do, one bug is enough to handle this. Once AMO is running the new version, and it has a special SeaMonkey section that works well, it's probably where we want to point to. This only affects trunk-based releases though, 1.0.x and 1.1.x will not be touched.
Version: 1.8 Branch → Trunk
If the http://www.mozilla.org/themes/download/ page is updated, it will help with all versions. But changing the URL to point to AMO (when ready) should probably only happen on the trunk, yes.
The addons link now doesn't work at all, as it goes to: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/mozilla/themes/
Checked in a fix to mention SeaMonkey in headlines of this page, and use the SeaMonkey themes page of AMO instead of a now non-existing Mozilla suite one. For trunk, we will be going through the Extension Manager's themes panel and directly to AMO (this is already true for suiterunner, and xpfe-based suite will go away soon anyways).

It's certainly an improvement, but why not remove the long dead Open Directory entry? Listing the sites in comment #1 would also be useful, at least until AMO has a real selection of themes, rather than the paltry selection it has now.
OK, the dmoz.org entry isn't gone though, it's on http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Internet/Clients/Mozilla_SeaMonkey/Themes/ now, so changing to that. I don't feel good about linking pages that are probably private and could possibly run over their traffic limits or feel DOS'd when linked from such a page referenced in the browser. We'd need confirmation that those problems can't arise from the owners of those sites before linking them.
Thanks, Robert! I'd mark this verified, if I were the bug reporter.
