Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: I received a message with a very long email address in the To: header field. The name and address total 209 characters. The message and header do not wrap. But worse, a horizontal scroll bar doesn't appear so I can't read the entire message text. This happens in both the 3-pane view and when the message is opened in a separate window. The only way I could find to read the message was to open the source using Ctrl-U. I was able to reproduce the error by sending myself an email with a very long address in the CC: field. I get the error in Thunderbird 1.0.5, Thunderbird 1.0.7, and Netscape 7.2. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Send yourself an email with a very long address in the To or CC field, such as: veryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryverylongfirstname evenlongerveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryverylonglastname <ohmygoshthisaddressiswaywaywaywaywaywaywaywaywaywaytoolongwhatiswrongwiththemicrosoftemailproductthatgeneratedtheaddressintheemailthatigotthatwasaboutthislong@example.com> Also include enough text to see the missing word wrap. 2. Wait until the email shows up in your inbox. 3. Open it. Actual Results: The message text is not wrapped. I can't scroll to read it all. Expected Results: The text should wrap. And even if it doesn't, a horizontal scroll bar should appear to let me read it all. No extensions or themes installed.
